College of Transportation Engineering Held a Key Work Seminar

On the morning of October 11, 2020,College of Transportation Engineering held a key work seminar.The Chinese Academy of Engineering  Usur Slam, the former chief engineer of the Ministry of Transport Zhou Wei, the vice president Wang Jianwei, and the academician assistants Bater and Li Yanbing attended the seminar.All faculty members and department heads attended the seminar. Tian Xinmin, who is the secretary of the college Party committee, presided over the seminar.

Academician Usur Slam fully affirmed the work progress of the College of Transportation Engineering since its establishment.He guided the college on how to concentrate its development direction and make breakthroughs on key tasks.Simultaneously,he put forward valuable suggestions on the work plan of the College Development Strategy Advisory Committee and the preparation of the College Discipline Construction Committee.He pointed out that the college must be determined to focus on discipline construction, and to make great efforts on cultivating high-end talents and team construction. Meanwhile, the college shouldendeavor to explore the appropriate scientific research direction, and actively strive for the major scientific research projects based on the national science and technology development strategy

Professor Zhou Wei analyzed the 2021 application guide, the chief scientist, the research institutions and the team establishment of the National Key Special Project. Meanwhile,he provided suggestions for the 2021 National Key R&D special project of the College of Transportation Engineering.

He said that the National Key Special Project is an important content of the college's discipline construction. Moreover, it is also an opportunity to enhance the ability of the college's faculty team and cultivate young teachers to grow into talents.At the same time, he discussed and arranged related work details of project application.

Wang Jianwei, vice president of the university said that the college should focus on discipline construction, scientific research, school celebrations, and alumni contact inthe following work arrangement, making the timetable and flow chart to conduct every work in detail.College leaders and teachers should unite and dedicate their efforts to the development of the college, especially the application work of the National Key Special Project.

Yuan Changwei,dean of the college, introduced the development of the college comprehensively. Furthermore, he made

a brief report on the problems of the college's discipline construction, faculty, talent team, scientific research, and the  development plan.He said that the college aimed to be a "world-class, international and innovative college with Chinese characteristics". At the same time,the college focused on high-level talents, high-level projects, and high-level achievements to promote the key tasks of the college.

Tian Xinmin, party secretary of the college sincerely thanked all the experts and leaders for attending the key work seminar of the college.He said that the results of this seminar was fruitful and benefited a lot.The college should consider the seminar as an opportunity to quickly implement related tasks.

Participants conducted in-depth discussions on various key tasks of the college and made suggestions for the development of the college.
